Welcome to GodiksenNet.com

This site is aimed at people interested in studying, designing, analysing and building guitareffects.

I've allways been fascinated by rock'n roll music, and as an amateur guitarist I've also been searching for the ultimate tone. With a passion for electronics, it was natural to try and combine the two passions, in order to understand why a fender or a marshall amp sounds like it does.

I have no interest in purchasing all the classic amps in order to achive the classic sounds, instead I'm trying to emulate the sound of these classic amps using analog circuits.

Therefore I'm very interrested in the following topics:

- fuzz/overdrive/distortion circuits
- tonecontrol/filter circuits
- loudspeakers and their frequency response in both open and closed cabinets
- mic placement and what happens to the loudspeaker frequency response
- harmornic content in clipped signals from both tubestages and solidstate technology

On this site I plan to publish various articles about my analysis of some classic amps, and in time I'll publish some of my own designs.

I hope you'll enjoy visting my site.

Regards
